Biography

José Calavera is Honorary President of the Technical Institute of Materials and Construction (INTEMAC - Instituto Técnico de Materiales y Construcciones) and Emeritus Professor, School of Civil Engineering, Polytechnic University of Madrid.

Este manual, heredero natural del elaborado en su día por el mismo autor de acuerdo con la Instrucción Española EHE, resulta de gran interés para los técnicos y profesionales que trabajan en el diseño de estructuras de hormigón armado en general, y para los españoles en particular, dada la relativamente escasa discusión alcanzada hasta ahora entre nuestros especialistas por el Eurocodigo (EC-2) y las perspectivas de que esta situación vaya modificándose en el futuro.
