Biography

Neloy Khare is an Adviser to the Government of India in the Ministry of Earth Sciences. He has 30 years of experience in the field of paleoclimate research, in teaching, and administration. Dr. Khare has completed his PhD and D.Sc degrees in marine regions and has made significant contributions to the palaeoclimatology of Southern high-latitude regions, using Micropaleontology as a tool. Dr Khare is an Honorary Professor and Adjunct Professor at many Indian Universities. Dr. Khare has been a Guest Editor for Special Issues of scientific journals. He has authored and edited many books published by leading publishers. The government of India and many professional bodies have bestowed him with many prestigious Awards for his humble scientific contributions to climate change, oceanography, and Polar Science. The most prestigious is the Rajiv Gandhi National Award -2013 given by the Honorable President of India.

Rajni Khare obtained her Master’s degree in Zoology from Gujarat University and earned her Doctorate in Limnology and Environmental Sciences from Barkatullah University. Her scholarly pursuits are centred on the comprehensive understanding of the physicochemical and biological attributes of diverse aquatic ecosystems, including water bodies existing under the extreme climatic regimes of the Antarctic region, with particular emphasis on evaluating the repercussions of anthropogenic interventions on these fragile environments. An accomplished researcher of considerable distinction, she has numerous high-repute national and international scientific publications to her credit.
