Biography

Anjana K. Vala is a PhD in Microbiology. She is associated with Department of Life Sciences, Maharaja Krishnakumarsinhji Bhavnagar University and involved in PG teaching and research for last 20 years. Her research areas of interest include marine microbial diversity, bioremediation and nanobiotechnology. She has supervised several PG dissertations. Dr. Vala is a recipient of DST Fasttrack young scientist, CSIR SRA and DST Women Scientists (WOS-A) fellowship. She has above 60 publications and one patent (filed in India) to her credit.

Dushyant R. Dudhagara is a faculty member at the Department of Life Sciences, Bhakta Kavi Narsinh Mehta University for last two years. He is a PhD in Microbiology and recipient of National Post-Doctoral Fellowship. Dr. Dudhagara’s research areas of interest include marine microbial bioremediation especially of PAHs. Based on his research work, he has published 14 research papers. He has received international travel awards for presentation of his research work in various conferences.

Bharti P. Dave is a professor in Microbiology. Before joining as Dean, School of Sciences, Indrashil University, Prof Dave was Former Head at the Department of Life Sciences, MK Bhavnagar University. She was also Research Co-Ordinator of the ESTC sponsored by the MoES. Dr. Dave has supervised 17 PhDs. Prof Dave has 30 years of PG teaching and research experience. Her research areas include microbial physiology and bioremediation. She has completed over 15 research projects and has published over 90 papers.
