David Leupold is a research fellow at the Leibniz-Zentrum Moderner Orient Berlin, and principal investigator of the Deutsche Forschungsgesellschaft-funded project Relicts of (Another) Future? Life and Afterlife of the Socialist City in Central Asia and the Southern Caucasus.
