    Biography

    Dr. N. M. Nurazzi is a senior lecturer at the School of Industrial Technology, Universiti Sains Malaysia, Penang, Malaysia. Before joining Universiti Sains Malaysia, he was as Post-Doctoral Fellow at the Centre for Defence Foundation Studies, National Defence University of Malaysia, under the Newton Research Grant for the study on “Role of Intermolecular Interaction in Conductive Polymer Wrapped MWCNT as Organophosphate Sensing Material Structure”. In 2018, he was awarded a PhD from Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) in Materials Engineering, under the Ministry of Higher Education Malaysia scholarship. To date, he has authored and co-authored more than 100 citations indexed in journals, 30 book chapters, 15 conference proceedings/seminars, and served as Guest Editor of Journal special issues.

    Emin Bayraktar (Prof. Emeritus, Habil., Dr (Ph.D.), DSc—Doctor of Science) is an academic and research staff member in Mechanical and Manufacturing engineering at SUPMECA/Paris, France. He has authored more than 200 publications in the International Journals and International Conference Proceedings and more than 90 research reports (European = Steel Committee projects, Test + Simulation). He has advised 32 Ph.D. and 120 MSc theses, and he is currently advising 7. He is a Fellow of WAMME (World Academy of Science in Materials and Manufacturing Engineering), Editorial Board—Member of JAMME (International Journal of Achievement in Materials and Manufacturing Engineering), Advisory board member of AMPT—2009 (Advanced Materials Processing technologies), APCMP—2008 and APCMP—2010. He was Visiting Professor at Nanyang Technology University, Singapore in 2012, Xi’an Northwestern Technical University, Aeronautical Engineering, in 2016, University of Campinas, UNICAMP-Brazil in 2013 until 2023. He is a recipient of the Silesian University Prix pour “FREDERIK STAUB Golden Medal-2009” by the Academy of WAMME, “World Academy of Science”—Poland, materials science section, and a recipient of the William Johnson International Gold Medal—2014, AMPT academic association.

    M.N.F. Norrrahim is a research officer in the Research Center for Chemical Defence, National Defence University of Malaysia. He received his bachelor’s degree in industrial biotechnology (Hons) at Universiti Selangor, Malaysia in 2010. Upon completing his Bachelor degree programme, he was awarded the Graduate Research Fellowship (GRF) by the Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) to undertake a Master of Science in the field of Material Science and Engineering. He continued his Doctor of Philosophy study at UPM in the field of nanotechnology. He received a scholarship of MyPhD from Ministry of Higher Education of Malaysia. He has authored or co-authored 54 citation indexed journals on nanotechnology, materials science, chemistry and biotechnology related subjects. He also authored 20 book chapters, as well as three conference proceedings/seminars.

    H.A. Aisyah is a Postdoctoral Researcher in the Department of Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering, Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM). She earned a Master in Biocomposite Technology and Design from UPM in 2013, under the Ministry of Higher Education Malaysia scholarship. She attended graduate school at the same university, graduating with a Ph.D. in 2019. In 2014, she was a postgraduate student at Institute of Tropical Forestry and Forest Products (INTROP). Her doctoral research focused on the development of textile polymer composite from natural fibre and characterization of the composite. She has authored and co-authored 30 citation indexed journals on composite and materials science related subjects. She also authored 13 book chapters, as well as 17 conference proceedings.

    N. Abdullah has been a lecturer of chemistry at the National Defence University of Malaysia (NDUM), Malaysia since 2012. She received her Master of Philosophy degree in Advanced Materials from University of Malaya (UM), Malaysia in 2004. She worked as a research assistant at the Fritz Haber Institut, The Max Plank Society, Germany from 2002 until 2003 as part of the internship to complete her master’s degree. She received scholarship under Ministry of Higher Education Malaysia (MOHE) to pursue Doctor of Philosophy study at UM in the field of nanomaterials. She was awarded with several research grant under MOHE and as PI for an International grant Newton Fund in 2019. Her research output includes more than 50 publications in respected journals and 10 abstracts in national and international conferences.

    M.R.M. Asyraf is a Senior Lecturer at the School of Mechanical Engineering, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM). Previously, he worked as a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow in Institute of Energy Infrastructure, Universiti Tenaga Nasional (UNITEN) from 2021 to 2022. He has a Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical) with first class honors from Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), Malaysia and Ph.D. in Material Engineering from UPM, Malaysia. Currently, he is registered as a graduate engineer, a graduate technologist, and a corporate member of Society of Sugar Palm Development and Industry, Malaysia (PPIEM). In 2019, he was appointed as a member of editorial boards in Journal of Advanced Research in Fluid Mechanics and Thermal Sciences (Scopus Indexed Journal). He has been appointed as Guest Editor in Special Issue entitled Lignocellulosic Fibre-based Composites in Forests (Q1), MDPI. In addition, he served as an Academic Editor in International Journal of Polymer Sciences (Q2), Hindawi and Review Editor in Frontiers of Materials (Q2). He also is an editorial board member of Journal of Natural Fibre Polymer Composites (JNFPC). To date, he has authored and co-authored more than 100 publications, including over 66 journal articles, 2 books, 30 chapters in book, and other publications. His H-Index is 23 based on Scopus database. He has delivered more than 10 international and local presentations from various conferences and seminars, and he has reviewed over 40 journal papers.
