Biography

Dr. Kamel A. Abd-Elsalam, Ph.D., is a Research Professor at the Plant Pathology Research Institute in Giza, Egypt. His research interests include developing plant biosecurity diagnostic tools, understanding fungal pathogen genomes, and creating eco-friendly hybrid nanomaterials for controlling toxigenic fungi and plant diseases. He has published 30 books on nanobiotechnology applications in agriculture and plant protection and has served as the Editor-in-Chief of the Elsevier book series "Nanobiotechnology for Plant Protection" and the Series Editor for "Applications of Genome Modified Plants and Microbes in Food and Agriculture." He has been ranked among the top 2% of influential scientists in nanobiotechnology for 2021, 2022, and 2023 by Elsevier and Stanford University.

Dr. Muhammad Zahid is working as an Associate Professor at the Department of Chemistry, University of Agriculture Faisalabad, Pakistan. He is working in the field of materials science, synthesis of various nanomaterials, (graphene, graphene oxide, graphitic carbon nitride, carbon quantum dots, semiconductor nanoparticles, nanocomposites, etc.) and their application in the environmental remediation and energy. He has published 03 books, 26 book chapters and more than 140 peer-reviewed journal articles with a cumulative impact factor of around 500. He secured position among the leading researchers in Stanford - Elsevier's Top 2% Scientists (2021, 2022, 2023). He served as book editor of two books and guest editor for the Frontiers in Chemistry.
