Biography

Anita Moser , Dr. phil., studied comparative literature and Spanish philology in Innsbruck and Bilbao, received her doctorate from the Faculty of Philology and Cultural Studies at the University of Innsbruck, and has trained in cultural management. She has worked for many years in cultural management and cultural mediation (including Klangspuren Schwaz). She is a lecturer in adult education and at the University of Innsbruck. She has been a member of the Tyrolean Cultural Initiatives/IG Kultur Tirol working group since 2009. Her research and work focuses on cultural mediation, socioculture, postcolonialism, and contemporary art. Her most recent publication is: The Art of Crossing Borders: Postcolonial Critique in the Tension Between Aesthetics and Politics, Bielefeld: transcript 2011. Franz Wassermann , artist, winner of the Anni and Heinrich Süssmann Scholarship (2010), the Tyrolean Award for Fine Arts (2006), the recognition award for his video work “I” at the Taglia Corto Film Festival in Florence (2004), the award for integration and civil courage for the art project Schubhaft (2003), the Austrian State Scholarship (2001), the Federal Government's work grant (1996), the Trend Art Recognition Award (1994); numerous international exhibitions and projects in Austria, the 6th INT. BIENNALE SHARAJAH in the United Arab Emirates, EXPO 98 Lisbon, the 3rd Triennial of Photography in Hamburg, Munich, Rome, Florence, Zurich, Nantes, London, Oslo, Detroit, New York, and others; projects and actions in public spaces.
