Biography

Professor N.K. Jain, a distinguished academician and researcher, served as a senior professor in India for over 40 years before retiring in June 2014. Throughout his illustrious career, he held various prestigious positions, including director at the ISF College of Pharmacy in Punjab and emeritus fellow at Rajiv Gandhi Technological University in Bhopal. Professor Jain's contributions to the pharmaceutical sciences are profound, with over two dozen acclaimed books and more than 500 publications in reputable journals. He has supervised numerous PhD and M.Pharm. candidates and received numerous awards, including the IDMA Research Award and the APTI Teacher of the Year Award. His research interests encompass controlled and novel drug delivery systems, nanotechnology, and targeted drug delivery, earning him global recognition. Professor Jain is actively involved in professional associations and is revered by students and colleagues alike. His recent books include Introduction to Pharmaceutics and Hybrid Nanomaterials for Drug Delivery, highlighting his continued dedication to advancing pharmaceutical research. In recognition of his outstanding contributions, Professor Jain was honoured with the prestigious APTI Shri Bhojraj Panjamool Lifetime Achievement Award and has been consistently ranked among the top 2% scientists in Pharmacology and Pharmacy by Stanford University. Professor Jain's legacy in pharmaceutical research, teaching, and administration continues to inspire and shape the future of the field.

Dr. Neeraj Mishra has been serving as a Professor at the Amity Institute of Pharmacy, Amity University Madhya Pradesh, Gwalior, M.P. since July 2019, amassing nearly twenty-two years of teaching and research expertise.  With a focus on novel drug delivery systems, oral delivery of synbiotics, localized drug delivery, and targeted and controlled drug delivery using nanocarriers/microparticles. Dr. Mishra has published over 160 papers in esteemed international and national journals. Dr. Mishra has authored over 20 books and 45 book chapters for international publishers. He holds three international patents and two Indian patents. Dr. Mishra received the Distinguished Professor Award in 2019 from DST-NSTMIS, SPAICS, Indore, M.P., and the Outstanding Scientist Award in 2020 at the 6th International Scientist Awards on Engineering, Science, and Medicine in Chennai, India. In 2021, he was honored with the Distinguished Professor Award by the Indian Pharmaceutical Association, MP State Branch, Indore. Further, Dr. Mishra was awarded the Best Academician Award at the Indian Pharmacy Graduate Association's M.P. State International Conference held on May 6th, 2023, at the DAVV Auditorium in Indore, India. He is also the recipient of an MPCST Project in 2023-24.

Dr. Neha Bajwa currently serves as Research officer at University Centre of Excellence in Research, and Assistant Professor at University Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Baba Farid University of Health sciences, Faridkot. With over 40 publications in international and national journals, Dr. Bajwa has been awarded the Young Investigator Training Program to work at the University of Turin for six months. Additionally, she received a travel grant from FIP to attend the FIP-PSWC 2020 conference in Montreal, Canada. She is a Fellow/Life Member of the Indian Pharmacy Graduate Associations and the Association of Pharmaceutical Teachers of India. Having presented research papers at over 20 national and international conferences, Dr. Bajwa has received various awards, including the Best Poster Research Award at the 6th World Congress on Nanomedical Sciences-ISNSCON-2018 held at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi. During her Ph.D., she worked on an ICMR-sponsored project entitled "Molecular Encapsulation Augmented Oral Delivery of Arteether: Formulation Design using Total Quality Management Approach." Furthermore, she has contributed to various government agency-sponsored projects by AICTE, UGC, DST, CYCLONET, and FIP.
