Biography

Wojciech Tomasz Modzelewski, PhD, is an associate professor at the Institute of Political Science, Division of International Political Relations and International Security, University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn, Poland. He has authored or co-authored 14 monographs and more than 100 scholarly articles. His research focuses on the foreign activities of Polish local governments, regional cooperation, Poland’s foreign policy, and international security. He is a pioneer and promoter of the concept of paradiplomacy in Polish academia, as demonstrated by his habilitation dissertation, Paradiplomacy of Regions: A Study of the Voivodeships of Eastern Poland (Olsztyn, 2016).
