Biography

Dr. Andrea Albert is an expert at searching for dark matter signals from space with gamma rays. She earned her PhD from The Ohio State University in 2013 and is currently a staff scientist at Los Alamos National Laboratory. She was a member of the Fermi Large Area Telescope Collaboration from 2012 – 2016 and has been a member of the HAWC Collaboration since 2016. She has been performing science outreach for decades and has shared her love of astrophysics from kindergarten classrooms to congressional offices.
