Biography
Pradip Nirbhavane is an Assistant Professor, working at the Amity Institute of Pharmacy, Amity University, Gurugram, Haryana, India. He completed his bachelor’s degree in pharmacy at N.D.M.V.P. College of Pharmacy, Nashik, Maharashtra, India and earned his master’s degree in Pharmaceutics from NIPER, Mohali, India. He later obtained his Ph.D. from Panjab University, Chandigarh, India. Dr. Nirbhavane has over five years of industrial experience in R&D roles at pharmaceutical companies such as Intas Pharmaceuticals Ltd. and Lifecare Innovations Pvt. Ltd. Additionally, he has 12 years of research experience, spanning both academic and industrial research, with a primary focus on drug delivery systems and nanotechnology. He has published extensively in high-impact international journals and has also contributed several book chapters. He has also filed several patents and been granted couple of them. He has also presented his research at several renowned international conferences. In 2023, Dr. Nirbhavane was honoured with the “International Young Scientist Award” by The Korean Society of Ginseng, South Korea. Recently, Dr. Nirbhavane was awarded with prestigious “INSA visiting scientist award 2025-26”.
Rajeev Sharma is currently working as Associate Professor at the Amity Institute of Pharmacy, Amity University Madhya Pradesh, Gwalior, India. He earned his B.Pharm, M.Pharm, and Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences from Dr. H. S. Gour Central University, Sagar, India. Dr. Sharma has approximately 14 years of experience in both teaching and industry. He has served as a Junior Research Fellow under AICTE, an ICMR-SRF, and a CSIR-RA Fellow during his research career and has worked as an Assistant Professor in academia and as a Senior Formulation Development Scientist in the R&D industry. Dr. Sharma has edited two international and two national books and has authored over 32 publications and 21 book chapters in international reference books. His work focuses on recent concepts in immunology, nanobiotechnology, novel drug delivery systems, and targeted and controlled drug delivery of bioactives for the treatment of diseases such as cancer and diabetes. He is a life member of the Association of Pharmaceutical Teachers of India (APTI). He is currently working on a research project funded by the Madhya Pradesh Council of Science and Technology (MPCST). Dr. Sharma has received several awards for his research, including the Young Research Scholar award and various awards for best oral and poster presentations at national and international conferences. His current research interest is in nanocarrier-based targeted approaches for the effective delivery of bioactives.
Kailas Kalicharan Moravkar is a distinguished Senior Principal Scientist at Regeron Inc., Chuncheon, South Korea, and a guest faculty member at ICT-IOP Bhubaneswar. With a robust blend of 7 years of industry and 3 years of academic experience, Dr. Moravkar holds a PhD in Pharmaceutical Science and Technology from the Institute of Chemical Technology, Mumbai, and an M. Tech. from NIPER, Mohali. His innovative work spans various drug delivery formats, including biofilms, gels, granules, and inserts, leveraging cutting-edge techniques like Hot Melt Extrusion, MADG, and RCDG. Currently, his research centered on developing FDC’s in pharmaceuticals, nutraceuticals and cosmetics for anti-ageing, neurodegenerative diseases and cancer through biopharmaceutical applications, emphasizing innovative drug delivery formats and pharmaceutical technologies. Dr. Moravkar has secured significant research funding, including a 50 lakh INR DST-SERB grant, holds 17 patents (6 granted national, 11 international), and has published 36 articles with a cumulative impact factor of 120. His industry contributions include successful technology transfers and product commercialization at Jubeln Lifesciences Pvt. Ltd., Bangalore, earning prestigious recognitions such as the BIRAC grant, National Startup Award 2020, Emerging Scholar Award from Health, Wellness & Society, USA, and a runner-up prize from ISPE Germany.
