Her research areas focus on Wastewater Treatment, IOT, Artificial Intelligence, Bioenergy, and Material Science.

Gasim Hayder is the Head of Water and Environmental Engineering Unit, Department of Civil Engineering, as well as a Senior Lecturer, Environmental, Water and Wastewater Engineering at the Universiti Tenaga Nasional (UNITEN), Malaysia.
