Planetary Health and Social Security presents a transformative analysis of the complex interdependencies between ecological systems and human well-being. By integrating perspectives from environmental science, public health, and social justice, the book critically examines pressing global challenges, including climate change, biodiversity loss, and social inequality, with particular attention to their disproportionate impacts on vulnerable populations.

“The authors propose an integrative framework for policymaking that emphasizes the dual imperatives of sustainability and equity. By addressing these interwoven issues holistically, the book seeks to advance innovative strategies and actionable solutions that promote long-term planetary health and social resilience.

“This scholarly work invites readers to reimagine humanity’s relationship with the environment critically. It underscores the importance of collective, evidence-based efforts to secure a sustainable and equitable future for all.”

Dr. Ilyas Mohamed-Derby University, UK.

“Through thorough research and compelling case studies, this book illuminates the urgent need for integrated policies that promote environmental sustainability and social justice simultaneously. It encourages readers to rethink traditional paradigms and embrace innovative solutions to the crises we face. This work serves as both a wake-up call and a guide, inspiring all stakeholders—from community activists to government leaders—to take action. The future of humanity depends on our ability to secure a healthy planet alongside our social structures, making this book an invaluable resource for anyone passionate about planetary preservation and social equity.

“COVID-19 was a wake-up call for every individual on the globe. Tackling the multi-faced and long-established problems observed and experienced globally is not easy. However, having a sustainable initiative, from the individual and communal to the regional and global, is undoubtedly crucial and will be crucial for the future of human and natural ecosystems.”
