Biography

Prof. Deependra Singh (M.Pharm, Ph.D, Post-doc (USA)) is presently working at University Institute of Pharmacy, Pt. Ravishankar Shukla University, Raipur (C.G.) India. He is chairman of the education regulation committee and central council member of the pharmacy council of India (PCI). He has around 20 years of teaching and research experience. He has 145 research and review papers published in national and international journals. He has written 30 book chapters and two books with Elsevier. He has successfully completed projects funded by ICMR, UGC, AICTE, DST, CGCOST, and several industrial projects. He has citations more than 7943 (h-index of 36 and i10 index of 123-Google scholar) and scopus h-index 30; 3514 citations. He has 2 international, 3 Indian patents and 2 filed. He has been among the top 2% of scientists across the world in the field of pharmacy and pharmacology in a survey by Stanford University, USA for four consecutive years (2021, 2022, 2023, 2024). He was a visiting scientist at the National Center for Natural Products Research, School of Pharmacy, University of Mississippi, USA. He was a recipient of the DHR-ICMR award for young biomedical scientist in 2019, UGC RAMAN international fellow in 2014, UGC research award in 2012, and a number of awards at national and state level for excellence in research. He is a life member of various professional bodies such as the Indian Pharmaceutical Association (IPA), Association of Pharmacy Teachers of India (APTI), Indian Society of Pharmacognosy (ISP), and serving as Vice-President, Central zone APTI 2022–2027 (Elected), Vice-President, Central zone IPGA 2022–2025 (Elected), Secretary, Chhattisgarh state branch IPA.

Durgesh Nandini Chauhan, M.Pharm., has several years of academic (teaching) experience at institutes in India in pharmaceutical sciences, and currently works in Columbia College of Pharmacy, Raipur CG India. She has taught subjects such as pharmaceutics, pharmacognosy, traditional concepts of medicinal plants, drug delivery, phytochemistry, cosmetic technology, pharmaceutical engineering, pharmaceutical packaging, quality assurance, dosage form designing, and anatomy and physiology. She is a member of the Association of Pharmaceutical Teachers of India, SILAE: Società Italo-Latinoamericana di Etnomedicina (The Scientific Network on Ethnomedicine, Italy), and others. She has attended several workshops, conferences, and symposiums, including the AICTE-Sponsored Staff Development Program on “Effects of Teaching and Learning Skills in Pharmacy: Tool for Improvement of Young Pharmacy Teachers.” She has written more than 10 articles published in national and international journals, 15 book chapters, and edited 10 books. She is also active as a reviewer for several international scientific journals and is an active participant at national and international conferences, including Bhartiya Vigyan Sammelan and the International Convention of Society of Pharmacognosy. Presently she has joined Ishita Research Organization, Raipur, India as a freelance writer and guide for students in pharmacy, Ayurvedic, and science in their research projects. She is interested in data analysis, proposal writing, questionnaire design, designing and developing research questionnaires and policy. She is actively engaged with accurately monitoring, investigating, and analyzing all statistical information, professionally presenting information and reports, and investigating and documenting key data and information at the request of senior researchers.

Dr. Nagendra Singh Chauhan obtained his M.Pharm, Ph.D. from the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Dr. H.S. Gour University, Sagar, MP, India. He has around 20 years of research experience. He is presently working as a Senior Scientific Officer Grade-I and Government Analyst at Drugs Testing Laboratory Avam Anusandhan Kendra, Raipur, Chhattisgarh, India. He has professional expertise in Natural Product Isolation and phytopharmacology. He has written more than 70 articles published in national and international journals, and 32 book chapters, and edited 7 books. He is the recipient of the Dr. P. D. Sethi Memorial National Award for the best HPTLC publication from India in the years 2021 and 2022. He is a member of various professional and academic bodies such as the Society of Pharmacognosy India, the International Natural Product Sciences Taskforce (INPST), SILAE: Società Italo-Latinoamericana di Etnomedicina (The Scientific Network on Ethnomedicine, Italy), Institutional Human Ethical Committee, Association of Pharmaceutical Teachers of India (APTI), and Indian Pharmacy Graduates’ Association.

Prof.  Manju Singh (M.Pharm, Ph.D) is presently working at University Institute of Pharmacy, Pt. Ravishankar Shukla University, Raipur (C.G.) India. She has around 20 years of teaching and research experience. She is among the top 2% of scientists across the world in the field of Pharmacy and Pharmacology surveyed by Stanford University, USA. She is engaged in research projects focused on studying the role of plant bioactives in devising new treatments mainly for autoimmune disorders and inflammatory diseases in collaboration with various universities in India and abroad. She has around 140 research and review papers published in national and international journals. She has written 30 book chapters and two books with Elsevier. She has citations more than 6867 with h-index 37, i10 index of 94 (Google scholar) and scopus h-index 30; 3525 citations. She has 2 international, 3 Indian patents and 2 filed. She has successfully completed several projects funded by the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), University Grants Commission (UGC), C.G. State Council of Science and Technology (CGCOST), and the Department of Science and Technology (DST). She was a visiting scientist at the Department of Pharmaceutics, University of Mississippi, USA in 2015. She is the recipient of the DHR-ICMR international young Indian biochemist award 2014–15 and the APTI Prof. C.J. Shishoo Award for Research in Pharm Sciences 2024. She is a life member of professional bodies such as the Indian Pharmaceutical Association (IPA), Association of Pharmacy Teachers of India (APTI), Indian Pharmacy Graduates Association (IPGA), and serving as President, IPGA state branch Chhattisgarh 2022–2025 (Elected).
