Biography
Dr. Vikas Mittal is an assistant professor in the Department of Chemical Engineering at the Petroleum Institute in Abu Dhabi. He has previously worked at BASF Polymer Research in Ludwigshafen, Germany, and the Sun Chemical Group Europe in London. Dr. Mittal’s research interests include organic-inorganic nanocomposites, novel filler surface modifications, thermal stability enhancements, and polymer latexes with functionalized surfaces.
The main theme of this book is the surface modification with polymer brushes. The book is addressed to experimentalists. It contains a detailed description of methods of preparation and properties of brushes formed by polymers of different chemical structures. This is the main strength of the book.
