    Biography

    Dr. Anjali Nicholson:

    Dr. Anjali Nicholson, a trained retina surgeon from the Sankara Nethralaya Eye Institute in Chennai, has received numerous awards for her contribution to ophthalmology. As ex – head of department of the ophthalmology services at TN Medical College and BYL Nair Hospital. She has been instrumental in training and mentoring numerous ophthalmologists. Her areas of interest include retina, paediatric ophthalmology, squint and neuro-ophthalmology apart from her work as a Comprehensive and Seasoned Ophthalmologist. She is also an avid reader, speaker and orator. She has in depth experience as examiner and teacher of over 30 years conducting undergraduate and postgraduate MS and DNB exams. Currently she is practicing at Nicholson Eye Clinic in Mumbai.

    Dr. Maneck Nicholson:

    Dr. Maneck Nicholson is an ophthalmic surgeon currently practicing in Mumbai. She has completed her fellowship in cataract and refractive surgery from the Narayana Nethralaya Eye Institute, following which she completed a fellowship at the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary, Harvard Medical School, Boston. She worked as a consultant in the department of cataract and refractive surgery at the LV Prasad Eye Institute and at that time headed the Aurobindo Geriatric Eye Foundation. As the head of education there, she took an avid interest in teaching and has provided cataract training to numerous ophthalmologists at national and international forums. Currently she is practicing as a cataract and refractive surgeon at the Shantilal Shanghvi Eye Institute in Mumbai.

    Dr. Syed Faraaz Hussain:

    Dr. Syed Faraaz Hussain, is a trained fellow in both strabismus and paediatric ophthalmology (under Dr. Burton Kushner, Wisconsin University, Madison, USA) as well as in vitreoretinal surgeries (from BYL Nair Hospital, Mumbai), having completed his postgraduation under Dr. A. D. Nicholson & Dr. A. B. Ingole during MS ophthalmology. He has worked in various charitable and educational institutes, including the Municipal Eye Hospital (MEH) under MCGM, and is now working as a consultant eye surgeon at Fazal Clinic, and as an Assistant Professor at MGM Medical College & Hospital, Kamothe as well as Honorary consultant at NMMC Hospital, Vashi. He is passionate about teaching and takes an active interest in neuro-ophthalmology along with retina and paediatric ophthalmology.
