Biography

Dr. Seema Sud is a wireless communications engineer with 33 years of work experience and is currently a Distinguished Scientist and Engineer/Technical Fellow at the Aerospace Corporation. She was the recipient of the three-year Bradley research fellowship at Virginia Tech in 1999, where she pursued a Ph.D., and the Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association (AFCEA) post-doctoral research fellowship at George Mason University (GMU) in 2002. In 2020, Seema received the Aerospace Woman of the Year award. Seema’s experience spans the fields of RF and optical communications, signal processing, radar, GPS, biomedical, and image processing. Seema has 22 years of teaching experience in RF wireless communications, both as an affiliate professor in the graduate telecommunications program at GMU and as an instructor for The Aerospace Corporation. She has won about 45 awards, holds 10 patents related to signal processing methods in wireless systems, and has published over 60 papers.
