Biography
Waad Abualrob is a Visiting Lecturer in Law at the University of Westminster, and a Law Tutor at the University of Essex, delivered through the university’s collaborative programme with Kaplan International College London. He holds a PhD in International Law from the University of Westminster, where his doctoral research examined the protection of the environment, and natural resources during armed conflict and occupation. Dr Abualrob’s research focuses on the intersection of international humanitarian law, human rights law, and environmental law, with a particular emphasis on the legal protection of the environment and natural resources in situations of armed conflict and occupation
This book deserves to become a foundational text in the field. It raises important questions about legal fragmentation, environmental justice, and the responsibilities of occupying powers. It is a necessary and powerful intervention, one that will influence scholarly debates and legal practices for years to come.
