Biography

Giuseppe Pezzotti is distinguished professor and director of the Biomedical Engineering Center of Kansai Medical University in Osaka, Japan. Before this appointment, he was a full professor at the Ceramic Physics Laboratory of Kyoto Institute of Technology, where he was also vice president for International Affairs and Collaborative Research in Health Science for 7 years and is now an emeritus professor. Prof. Pezzotti holds 6 doctoral degrees in different scientific fields, has published more than 800 scientific papers, has authored 3 books, and holds patents in various disciplines, including a world patent on nanoscale stress microscopy, for which he was awarded the prestigious Prize for Scientific Research of the Ministry of Education of Japan in 2017.
