Biography

Shamika Shabnam teaches in the Department of English at Capilano University. She completed her PhD in English and Cultural Studies at McMaster University on the politics of gender and nation-making during the 1971 Bangladesh Liberation War. Her research is on memory and trauma within South Asian history, literature, and culture.
