Melissa Yoong is Associate Professor of Sociolinguistics at the University of Nottingham Malaysia. She specialises in research investigating how language sustains and challenges gender inequalities in the workplace and other areas of life.

"This is a brilliant resource primarily using everyday language. It covers a range of research approaches and topics, with work broadly conceptualised beyond paid full time employment, including physical or digital settings. Readers can usefully zoom in on useful theories, concepts, cases, analytical approaches, research gaps and further reading guides."
