Routledge Clinical Paradigms Dialogue Series

About the Series

Under the joint editorship of Jan Abram and Robert D. Hinshelwood, the Routledge Clinical Paradigms Dialogue book series will develop studies of conceptual research by promoting dialogue between different psychoanalytic theories. Following the success of their co-authored book, The Clinical Paradigms of Melanie Klein & Donald Winnicott: Comparisons and Dialogues, which introduced the distinctive psychoanalytic principles of both Klein and Winnicott together, the editors proposed this series in order to show, through the unique format of a dialogue, how the distinct schools of psychoanalytic thought have evolved and how certain misunderstandings have arisen.

Books in the series follow the same format as the original book, with each being written about two prominent psychoanalytic authors by two internationally recognized scholars. Through these unique pairings, each book will engage in systematic, extended examinations of the similarities and differences between psychoanalytic orientations, setting them apart from existing literature in psychoanalysis.

The volumes in this series will appeal to clinical practitioners in practice and in training, who have different levels of knowledge and experience of psychoanalysis, and for any with an interest in comparing and dialoguing between the psychoanalytic schools of thought.
