Routledge Talent Identification and Development Environments in Sport

About the Book Series

Talent identification and talent development are topics of ongoing discussion across several fields. Over the past three decades, literature on these areas has increased considerably in sport, coinciding with a surge in the number of roles dedicated to supporting, leading, and researching talent identification and talent development pathways, environments, and systems. This growth and attention has created opportunities for investigation and reflection on the utility, reliability, and validity of these approaches.

Routledge Talent Identification and Development Environments in Sport offers researchers and interest-holders essential readings relating to the fields of talent identification and talent development in sport. This is achieved by providing editors and authors alike the opportunity to publish cutting edge and accessible books for both an academic and applied audience, encapsulating a researcher-practitioner ethos.

The series is under the editorial stewardship of the founding members of the Talent Identification and Development Environments in Sport (TIDES) Society – a world leading community, dedicated to advancing knowledge and application of talent identification and talent development practices in sport. The ongoing objective of this series is to utilise the collective skills and expertise of the global TIDES Society and beyond, disseminating the latest evidence and good practice, ultimately enhancing talent identification and talent development in sport for all those involved.
