Biography
Dr. J. Skujins is Professor Emeritus of Soil Biochemistry at Utah State University, Logan. The author of over 50 journal articles and editor of three books, as well as Editor-in-Chief of the Arid Soil Research and Rehabilitation journal, he is President of International Symposia on Environmental Biogeochemistry, Inc. and a member of the American Chemical Society, American Society of Microbiology, Soil Science Society of America, and International Soil Science Society, among others. A native of Latvia, Dr. Skujins received the B.A. degree (1957) in biochemistry and Ph.D. degree (1963) in agricultural chemistry, both from the University of California, Berkeley.
