Biography

Dan Bahadur Pal is currently working as Associate Professor, Department of Chemical Engineering, Harcourt Butler Technical University, Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, India. He received his M.Tech. in 2011 and Ph.D. in 2017 in the field of Chemical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (BHU) Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, India. Before that, he completed his B.Tech. in Chemical Engineering from UPTU, Lucknow, in 2006. Dr. Pal completed a doctoral degree in the field of nanotechnology and catalysis. These nanofibers have very promising potential to provide benefits to nanotechnologies, energy, environment, catalysts, sensors, etc. While pursuing research, he has published 105 publications in internationally refereed journals and 12 books and has contributed to 53 book chapters. From all the publications, he got 4,218 citations with a 29 h- index and 63i- 10 indexes. Dr. Pal’s research interests include nanotechnology, catalysis, energy and environment, and waste management, with a special focus on developing processes and materials by using waste as raw materials. He also prefers to work on bio- waste processing and value addition. He is the top 2% scientist in the field of Energy by Standford University list for the year 2024 & 2025.

Ashish Kapoor is currently working as Professor in the Department of Chemical Engineering at Harcourt Butler Technical University, Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, India. He earned his B.Tech. and M.Tech. (dual degree program) in Chemical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras, Tamil Nadu, India, in 2004. He received his Ph.D. from the University of Illinois Urbana- Champaign (UIUC), Illinois, USA, in 2011. Before assuming his current position, Dr. Kapoor worked as a Product Engineer at Lam Research Corporation, California, USA, and as a faculty member in the Department of Chemical Engineering at SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Kattankulathur, Tamil Nadu, India. With over 12 years of experience in industry and academia, he has authored more than 75 peer- reviewed international publications and has an h- index of 18. His research interests include microfluidics, lab- on- a- chip technologies, environmental remediation, biomass valorization, and modelling and simulation.
