Biography

Michael Ginsberg is a LEED AP O+M, CEM, and NABCEP PV Installation Professional, holds an MS in Sustainability Management from Columbia University, and is a Doctor of Engineering Science candidate at Columbia University specializing in solar energy integration into the electrical grid. In his work with the U.S. Department of State, Michael has performed technical analyses of large-scale solar installs on U.S. compounds worldwide, and trained nearly 1,000 engineers and technicians in renewable energy and building systems at U.S. embassies in West Africa, South America, the Middle East, and Europe.

"A well-operating solar array system begins at the design and planning stage, and continues through its entire operating life. Michael’s book is an enjoyable look through the entire solar O+M lifecycle. He combines the theoretical background of what the system is doing, with practical considerations for what can go wrong and how to troubleshoot. This book has something for everyone, from those new to the industry to seasoned veterans."
