‘Waste’ is generally identified as goods or material that are perceived to be mostly valueless. However, objects that are perceived to be waste based on consumers’ object valuation can be redefined to create value. This requires a multitude of efforts using different strategies in waste prevention and management. This book is an edited collection of various chemical approaches used for valorization of solid wastes, particularly, waste electrical and electronic equipment, plastic waste, and agro-residue waste, that provide research insights into the concept "waste-to-energy". Covering a variety of interdisciplinary topics on waste treatment and resource recovery makes the book one for all that serves as an excellent reading material for engineers, science scholars, entrepreneurs, and organizations who are working in the field of waste management.

Waste: Impact, Trends, Interventions, and Future Goals. Insights into COVID-19 Waste Management: Sources, Composition, Disposal and Challenges. Towards Efficient Methods in E-Waste Disassembling—The Circular Economy Approach. Insights into Metallurgical Processes for Sustainable Recovery of Metals from Electronic Waste. Energy Recovery from Electronic Waste: A Critical Assessment. Eco-Design Strategies for Recycling of E-Waste. Recovery and Conversion of E-Waste Plastic Via Physical and Chemical Routes. Chemical Recycling of Plastic Waste. Degradation Mechanism and Valorization of Waste Plastic to Energy and Chemicals. Catalytic Pyrolysis of Waste Plastics for the Production of Liquid Fuels. Agro-Residue Waste Management: Sources, Recent Practices, and Applications. Production of Biofuels from Waste Biomass Via Fischer-Tropsch Synthesis—An Overview. Waste to Fuels Via the Fischer-Tropsch Process: A Modularized Approach. Waste to Carbon: A Sustainable Approach for Converting Agricultural Wastes into Bio-Based Carbon Adsorbents for Wastewater Treatment. Energy Recovery from Municipal Wastewater Sludge.
