Biography

Paola Argentino is a medical doctor and specializes in psychiatry, Gestalt psychotherapy, preventive medicine, and family and community mediation. She is a professor in the faculty of Medicine and Surgery, Catholic University of Sacred Heart, Italy, and founder and co-director of master’s programs in psycho-oncology, psycho-neuro-endocrino-immunology, neurosciences, and other courses in counseling ranging from prenatal care to end-of-life. She is also president of Nino Trapani Institute of Neurosciences and Gestalt, established in memory of her husband. Dr Argentino is passionate about the psychosocial study of Greek myths and has organized conferences on these topics and summer schools on the spirituality of caring.
