Biography

Dr Luxita Sharma is presently working as Professor, Deputy Director of Amity Medical School with additional charge as Head of Department of Dietetics and Applied Nutrition, Amity University, Haryana, India, She has 21 years of experience as a Researcher and an Academician. She is UGC-NET & Ph.D.  in Food and Nutrition. She is Executive Director (Hon.)- the Hindustan Agricultural Research Welfare Society. She is life member of Indian Dietetics Association and IAPEN India Association.

She is an administrator, academician, and active researcher in the field of health and nutrition. She has authored/Edited 18 books and have 10 patents published, with one patent and seven copyrights granted. In total, 17 patents and 11 copyrights have been filed. She has published 121 research papers, including 41 indexed in Scopus, while others appear in Web of Science and UGC CARE-listed journals. She has been invited as a guest and keynote speaker at more than thirty national and international platforms, including events in Dubai , United Kingdom and Malaysia, as well as various private and government institutions and universities.

She has received maore than 20 awards, some of them are an International Award in the category of Contribution to Education Community & Outstanding Accomplishments by Asian Education Awards and IAPEN-Indian Association of Enteral and Parenteral Nutrition and many more awards from reputed organizations like ICAR, IIMR, MGA and from the actor Rushad Rana.

Dr. Ang Yeow Nyin is an academician and researcher in the field of Nutrition at Management and Science University (MSU), Malaysia. She holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Nutrition from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia. Her academic and professional work encompasses teaching, research, and consultancy, with expertise in sports nutrition, nutritional epidemiology, obesity, body composition, and community-based nutrition interventions.

Grounded in evidence-based practice, Dr Ang’s teaching and consultancy aim to translate scientific research into practical applications, particularly in optimising nutrition for health, athletic performance, and recovery. She has been involved in several national and international research initiatives, including collaborative projects with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), where nuclear techniques were utilised to assess body composition among children and adolescents.

Dr Ang has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications and presented her research at international scientific conferences. She plays an active role in academic leadership, serving as an editorial board member of the Journal of Nutrition Exploration, a reviewer for regional nutrition journals, and a member of several scientific committees.

She is a registered nutritionist with the Malaysian Allied Health Professions Council and a life member of both the Nutrition Society of Malaysia and the Malaysian Association for the Study of Obesity. Her academic and professional pursuits are underpinned by a commitment to advancing evidence-based practice in nutrition science, particularly in the areas of adolescent health, obesity prevention, and sports performance.
