    Biography

Theresa R. Fitzgerald has been a fourth grade teacher with the Linden Community Schools since 1992, shortly after graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree through the University of Michigan-Flint. She earned her Master's degree in Math/Science Elementary Education through Eastern Michigan University. Theresa has presented math and science workshops and staff development locally, and has been involved in the development of science and math curriculum. Her latest ventures involve increasing the use of technology across the curriculum and developing science activities.

Theresa's love of math and her interest in helping children understand its concepts led to the development of the Math Dictionary for Kids. The need for a math resource to help elementary and middle school children and their parents with terminology and concepts became apparent as Theresa's daughter, Amanda, grew. Developed over a period of about 10 years, its use on a daily basis has helped her students find sustained success in math.
