Biography
Suzy Giles is a communications and marketing professional who works with organisations, governments and NGOs in the area of sustainability communications. She is Chair of the Chartered Institute of PR’s ESG Network, and Chair of the United Nations Development Programme and ICCO Climate Communications Task Force. In her 25-year career, Suzy has worked with brands across the arts, education, fashion, energy, banking and finance. She has held both in-house and consultancy roles, and has lived and worked in the UK, Italy, The Netherlands and New Zealand, where she currently holds the role of Chief Examiner for the PR Institute of New Zealand.
Suzy Giles brilliantly decodes why action and communication on sustainability is still imperative for business, all the ways in which we’ve gotten it largely wrong until now and what we need to do going forward to ensure business benefits from their actions—and so do all of us. This book is a must-read, how-to guide for anyone in brand and corporate communications—not just for people with 'sustainability' in their titles. Sustainability is here to stay, and learning how to stop screwing up the way in which we talk about it and start communicating about it, in a way that actually drives change and business value, is imperative. This book lays out exactly how to do that well.
