Biography

Sandy Halliday is principal of Gaia Research, a research consultancy developing sustainable solutions for the built environment. The practise portfolio at any one time embraces research, design, evaluation, dissemination, training and capacity building.

Richard Atkins FRIAS, RIBA is a practicing architect and holds the Advanced Accredited in Sustainability from the Royal Incorporation of Architects in Scotland (RIAS.) Richard has been responsible for a number of innovative environmentally responsible award winning projects that demonstrate that not only is a high design quality and a sustainable built environment achievable but it makes sound economic and social sense.
