Biography

Vinod Kumar Garg is presently a Professor in the Department of Environmental Science and Technology at the Central University of Punjab, Bathinda, Punjab, India. Previously, he served at Guru Jambheshwar University of Science and Technology and CCS Haryana Agricultural University, Hisar, India, in various capacities. Prof. Garg has published over 200 research and review articles, along with two books. He was honored with the “Thomson Reuters Research Excellence – India Citation Award 2012.” He is an active member of various scientific societies and organizations, including the Biotech Research Society of India and the Indian Nuclear Society. In 2011, he was elected as a Fellow of the Biotech Research Society of India.

 

Navish Kataria is currently serving as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Environmental Sciences at J.C. Bose University of Science and Technology, YMCA, Faridabad (India). He earned his Ph.D. in Environmental Science and Engineering from Guru Jambheshwar University of Science and Technology, Hisar (India). He was awarded the Kothari Postdoctoral Fellowship by UGC, New Delhi, and has also received the UGC Start-up Research Grant for his research work. Dr. Kataria has published several research articles in peer-reviewed international journals and book chapters. His primary research interests include environmental pollution management, environmental nanotechnology, water and wastewater treatment technologies, microplastic pollution, and biowaste management.

 

 

Ashok Pandey is currently the Executive Director of the Centre for Energy and Environmental Sustainability-India, Lucknow. Previously, he served as a Distinguished Scientist at the Centre for Innovation and Translational Research, CSIR-Indian Institute of Toxicology Research, Lucknow; Eminent Scientist at the Centre of Innovative and Applied Bioprocessing, Mohali; and Chief Scientist and Head of the Centre for Biofuels at CSIR-National Institute for Interdisciplinary Science and Technology, Trivandrum. His major research and technological development interests include industrial and environmental biotechnology and energy biosciences, with a focus on biomass to biofuels and chemicals, as well as waste-to-wealth and energy conversion. Prof. Pandey has received numerous national and international awards and honors. He is a Fellow of five international and four national academies, including the World Academy of Sciences and the National Academy of Sciences. He is also a Distinguished Fellow of the Biotech Research Society of India and an Academician of the European Academy of Sciences and Arts, among others.
