It includes over 2000 songs, transcribed directly from the original recordings, making it by far the most comprehensive and accurate collection of blues lyrics available.
Michael Taft is Head of the Archive of Folk Culture at the American Folklife Center, Library of Congress. He has authored, co-authored or edited thirteen books. In addition, he has published over 125 articles and reviews, and has given over 100 papers, workshops, and other presentations. He lives in Silver Springs, MD.
