Biography

Yunus Ballim is an Emeritus Professor in the School of Civil & Environmental Engineering at the University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg in South Africa. He spent six years in the construction industry and has been a Civil Engineering academic since 1989. He has served as Deputy Vice-Chancellor and Vice Principal at the University of the Witwatersrand and as the founding Vice-Chancellor of the Sol Plaatje University in Kimberley, South Africa. He is a Senior Member of RILEM and an Honorary Fellow of the South African Institution of Civil Engineering.
