    Biography

    Kiran Sood is a Professor at Chitkara Business School, Chitkara University, Punjab, India. Additionally, Kiran Sood is an Affiliate Professor in the Faculty of Economics, Management, and Accountancy at University of Malta. She received her Undergraduate and PG degrees in commerce from Panjab University in 2002 and 2004, respectively. She earned her Master of Philosophy degree in 2008 and Doctor of Philosophy in Commerce with a concentration on Product Portfolio Performance of General Insurance Companies in 2017 from Panjabi University, India. Before joining Chitkara University in July 2019, Kiran had served four organisations with a total experience of 19 years. She has published articles in various journals and presented papers at various international conferences. She serves as an editor of refereed journals, in particular IJBST International Journal of BioSciences and Technology, International Journal of Research Culture Society, and Journal of Corporate Governance, Insurance, and Risk Management (JCGIRM). Her research mainly focuses on regulations, marketing and finance in insurance, insurance management, economics and management of innovation in insurance. She has edited more than ten books with various international publishers such as Emerald, CRC, Taylors & Francis, AAP, Wiley Scrivener, IET, River Publishers, and IEEE.

    Simon Grima, PhD, is the Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Economics, Management and Accountancy and Associate Professor and Head of the Insurance and Risk Management Department at the University of Malta. He coordinates the MA and MSc Insurance and Risk Management degrees and the undergraduate degree program in Insurance. He is also a Professor at the University of Latvia, Faculty of Business, Management and Economics and a visiting Professor at Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, Milan, Italy. He has served as the President of the Malta Association of Risk Management and President of the Malta Association of Compliance Officers. In addition, he is chairman of the Scientific Education Committee of the Public Risk Management Organization. His research focuses on governance, regulations, and internal controls. He has over 35 years of varied experience in financial services, academia, and public entities. He has acted as co-chair and is a member of the scientific program committees at several international conferences. He is also a chief editor, editor, and review editor of several journals and book series. He was awarded outstanding reviewer for the Journal of Financial Regulation and Compliance Emerald Literati Awards in 2017 and 2022. Professor Grima acts as an independent director for financial services firms; sits on risk, compliance, procurement, investment, and audit committees; and carries out duties as a compliance officer, internal auditor, and risk manager.

    Dr Ganga Sharma obtained her PhD and MTech(CSE) from USICT, Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, New Delhi. She also holds a Master of Computer Applications and BSc in Electronics degree. She has 10+ years of academic experience and is currently working as Associate Professor and Program Chair (BSc/MSc) at School of Computing Science and Engineering, Galgotias University, India. In the past, she has worked with various renowned institutions like PEC University of Technology, Chandigarh (formerly Punjab Engineering College), GD Goenka University, Gurgaon, etc. She has authored/co-authored various research publications in peer-reviewed reputed international journals, book chapters, and conference proceedings. Her research interests include search based software engineering, object oriented analysis and design, software metrics and quality, aspect orientation, data mining, and warehousing, machine learning, etc.

    Balamurugan Balusamy is currently working as an Associate Dean Student in Shiv Nadar University, Delhi-NCR. Prior to this assignment he was Professor, School of Computing Sciences & Engineering and Director International Relations at Galgotias University, India. His contributions focus on engineering education, block chain and data sciences. His academic degrees and twelve years of experience working as a Faculty in a global University like VIT University, Vellore has made him more receptive and prominent in his domain. He has 200 plus high impact factor papers in Springer, Elsevier. and IEEE journals.  He has published more than 80 edited and authored books and collaborated with eminent professors across the world from top QS ranked universities. Professor Balamurugan Balusamy has served up to the position of Associate Professor in his stint of 12 years of experience with VIT University, Vellore. He completed his Bachelors, Masters and PhD Degrees from top premier institutions from India. His passion is teaching and adapts different design thinking principles while delivering his lectures. He serves on the advisory committee for several startups and forums and does consultancy work for industry on Industrial IOT. He has given over 195 talks at various events and symposium.
