Biography

Philippa Levine is Walter Prescott Webb Chair in History Emerita at the University of Texas at Austin, USA, as well as an honorary professor in the School of Society and Environment  at Queen Mary, University of London, UK. Her publications include Eugenics: A Very Short Introduction (2017), The British Empire: Critical Readings, ed. (2019) and Prostitution, Race and Politics: Policing Venereal Disease in the British Empire (Routledge, 2003).
