"Anybody who wants to understand the complexity of the Chinese/Indian border disputes in the Himalayan region would do well to ponder this chunky book… The book is incredibly well researched and examines all the nuances of the international political manoeuvring both before and after the 1962 war… The text thrashes out the rival historical claims and counter claims… This book is essential background reading to understand why those conflicts still matter."
