Biography

Sean Stroud completed his PhD in Brazilian popular music at King's College, University of London in 2005. He recently concluded a year of post-doctoral research at the University of São Paulo, studying the Vanguarda Paulista musical movement of the early 1980s. He has published several articles on the subject of Brazilian popular music and he is also a contributor to The Babel Guide to Brazilian Fiction in English Translation (Boulevard, 2001).
