Jean Dsouza is an independent researcher who holds the unique credit of holding two Ph.D. degrees. Her first Ph.D. on gender perspectives in literary approaches to the bible was acquired from Gujarat University in 2010. Her second, on translations, transcreations and the transformation of The Bhagavad Gita in English, was earned from Lancaster University, UK, in 2024. Both demonstrate her interest in Religious Studies and Writing. As an Associate Professor at graduate and post-graduate levels for over 30 years now, Dsouza has been an acclaimed teacher, proficient in English Language and Literature. Her other interests include poetry, crochet, and children’s literature.
