Biography

Debbie Amichai received her master’s degree from Oxford University, UK. She is an accredited Couple and Family Therapist with over twenty-five years’ experience. Debbie's focus is couples where one or both partners has ADHD brain -wiring, where in most cases they are unaware of their situation and its effects on their relationship.

Yair Amichai-Hamburger is a Professor of Psychology and Communications and the Director of the Research Center for Internet Psychology (CIP) based at the Sammy Ofer School of Communications at  Reichman University, Israel. A prolific author, his publications include Internet Psychology: The Basics (Routledge, 2017).

‘One of the book greatest strengths is its decision to speak to a broad audience without sacrificing rigor. Written by clinicians, it brings a genuinely timely, leading edge perspective to the rapidly growing problem of attention, screens, and relationships. The dual author voice makes the ideas vivid and accessible, and the therapy focused section turns those insights into practical guidance that will be invaluable for clinicians and a powerful supplementary read in college courses.

Jeff Cole, Professor Emeritus of Communication Research University of Southern California and Director of the Center for the Digital Future

‘A distinctive, compassionate, and practical guide for couples navigating ADHD, especially in a tech-saturated world designed to distract and compete for attention. Clear tools for communication, boundaries, and repair you can start using this week to help create the securely attached relationships you deserve.’

George Faller, a Leading Couples Therapist and President of the New York Center for Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)

‘I couldn’t put it down. This book is fascinating, validating, and deeply affirming. It offers such an important new lens on neurodivergence in marriage and relationships, helping couples better understand their struggles and find healthier ways to communicate and connect. This is a much-needed book, and I will definitely be sharing it with my audience.’
