Biography

Mustafa Berktas is a professor specialized in Microbiology and Clinical Microbiology. Prof Berktas was appointed as the founding rector of Izmir Bakircay University. In addition to his role as the Rector of Izmir Bakircay University, Prof. Berktas also serves as a member of the Science Board of the Health Institutes Presidency, member of the Ministry of Health Medical Specialization Board, and President of the Medical Health Sciences Education Council within the Higher Education Board.

Abdulkadir Hiziroglu is a Professor in Management Information Systems Department Decision Sciences Unit at Izmir Bakircay University. Kadir's research interests are methodological issues in data/decision science/analytics, business intelligence and decision support systems, marketing/ customer analytics and artificial intelligence/intelligent systems/soft computing applications in business and health domains.

Ahmet Emin Erbaycu is a professor and the Head of the Department of Chest Diseases at Izmir Bakircay University. Ahmet's research interests are health data analytics, health service management and health service quality and accreditation.

Orhan Er is a Professor at the Faculty of Engineering and Architecture at Izmir Bakircay University. His research interests are performance modelling and optimization of machine learning, artificial neural networks and artificial immune systems applications in healthcare.

Sezer Bozkus Kahyaoglu is an associate professor in the Accounting and Finance Department of Izmir Bakircay University and academic associate in the Financial Governance Department of UNISA, South Africa. Sezer's research interests are in artificial intelligence, blockchain applications in accounting, finance, and auditing, data analytics, applied ethics, corporate governance and sustainability.
