Biography

Alexandra Bartles is an audio professional, educator, mastering engineer, and co owner of Altar Recording Studios, one of the world’s first boutique studios dedicated to electronic dance music production. With over a decade of industry experience, Alexandra is a qualified audiologist and Apple certified mastering engineer who has worked on projects for major labels and artists within the electronic music industry. Alongside her studio work, she has contributed extensively to music production education, mentoring, and creative development. Alexandra is the author of EDM Mastering Manual and previously served as co chair of the AES UK Electronic Music track, as well as a member of the UK AES Committee. Her work combines technical expertise with a strong focus on creativity, listening, artistic identity, and the long term development of music producers.
