Biography

Chih-Cheng Tseng received his Ph.D. degree from the Graduate Institute of Communications Engineering, National Taiwan University, Taipei, Taiwan, Republic of China. He is currently a full professor at the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, National Taiwan Ocean University, Taiwan. He has been actively involved in professional activities, e.g., serving as the Operations Co-Chair of IEEE GLOBECOM 2025, TPC Co-Chair of WPMC 2023 and 2024, and Sponsorship Co-Chair of IEEE GLOBECOM 2020. He is currently serving as the associate editor of the international journals, IET Electronic Letters (SCI) and Journal of Mobile Multimedia. He also served as the associate editor of Physical Communications (SCI) and the guest editor of SCI journals such as the International Journal of Sensor Networks, Wireless Personal Communications, and Wireless Communications and Mobile Computing. His research interests include the design and performance evaluation of next-generation mobile communication technologies and O-RAN-based intelligent designs.

Albena Mihovska received her Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from Aalborg University, Aalborg, Denmark, in 2008. She has a strong academic research track record of more than 20 years, with positions as an Associate Professor with Aalborg University, Denmark, until 2017, and later with Aarhus University, Denmark, until 2023. Currently, she is a CTO with SmartAvatar BV, The Netherlands, and the 6G Research Director with CTIF Global Capsule (CGC) Foundation, Skagen, Denmark, of which she is a Founding Board Member. Her research interests include 6G connectivity solutions for applications across vertical market segments. She is an IEEE R8 Standards Coordination Committee Member and an ITU-T Focus Group on Metaverse (FGMV) Expert. Since 2011 she has been active within ITU-T standardization. She serves on the Steering and Organizing Committees of several prominent IEEE events. She is the WG3 Vice-Chair of the One6G Association (https://one6g.org) and a Board Member of EUROMERSIVE (https://euromersive.eu).

Shao-Yu Lien received his Ph.D degree from the Institute of Communication Engineering, National Taiwan University. He is now an associate professor of the Institute of Intelligent Systems, National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University (NYCU), Taiwan. Dr. Lien has also been a technical director of Institute for Information Industry (III), Taiwan since 2020. Before NYCU, Dr. Lien was also an associate professor of the Department of Computer Science and Information Engineering, National Chung Cheng University (CCU), Taiwan. Dr. Lien has received a number of prestigious research recognitions, including IEEE ICC 2010 Best Paper Award, IEEE Communications Society Asia-Pacific Outstanding Paper Award 2014, WPMC 2022 Best Paper Award, IEEE PIMRC 2023 Best Student Paper Award, IEEE APWiMob 2023 Best Paper Award. Dr. Lien was also a World’s Top 2% Researcher in 2020–2024. He also served as the guest editor of IEEE Transactions on Cognitive Communications and Networking (TCCN), IEEE Transactions on Vehicular Technology (TVT), IEEE Transactions on Green Communications and Networking (TGCN), and Wireless Communications and Mobile Computing (WCMC). Dr. Lien has also served as one of the leading organizers of a number of technical workshops in IEEE VTC-Spring 2015, IEEE GLOBECOM 2015, Qshine 2015 and 2016, IEEE PIMRC 2017, IEEE GLOBECOM 2019, and IEEE ICC 2020. He has been a 3GPP standardization delegate since 2009 for LTE, LTE-A, LTE Pro, 5G NR, and 5G-advanced and, in this role, he has contributed more than 70 technical documents and patents. Dr. Lien’s research interests include AI/ML computing, 6G mobile networks, and robotic networks.
