Biography

Ashokkumar Manoharan is Senior Lecturer in Strategic Management at the College of Business, Government and Law. His research interests cover Diversity, Equity and Inclusion management in the hospitality industry, focusing on workforce diversity, migrant workers, people with disability and related diversity management practices, and organizational culture. Dr. Manoharan has been widely published in academic journals, has presented at numerous international conferences, and has been successful in obtaining external grants.

Juan M. Madera is Curtis L. Carlson Endowed Professor at the Conrad N. Hilton College of Global Hospitality Leadership, University of Houston. His research interest includes diversity and discrimination in the workplace, employment interview and selection issues, training and development, and research methodology. Dr. Madera has authored more than 90 peer-reviewed journal articles, trade articles, and book chapters. He is the recipient of numerous grants and fellowships, including from the NSF, USDA-NIFA, Sloan Foundation, and Ford Foundation.

Manisha Singal is Professor at the Howard Feiertag Department of Hospitality and Tourism Management, Pamplin College of Business, Virginia Tech, USA. Her research explores the relationship between environmental, social, and governance (ESG) issues and financial performance. She also investigates how unique attributes of the hospitality and tourism industry differentially influence firm strategy and performance. Dr. Singal is a recipient of several best paper awards at international conferences and serves as an editorial board member at many journals, including the International Journal of Hospitality Management, the Journal of Hospitality and Tourism Research, and Family Business Review.
