Biography

Alan T. Belasen has more than three decades of experience enhancing executive capabilities across business, government, and healthcare sectors. His work centers on leadership effectiveness, strategic communication, trustworthy governance, and improving performance within complex organizational systems. As cofounder and longtime chair of the MBA Program at SUNY Empire University, Dr. Belasen spent nearly 12 years leading the design and expansion of high impact graduate programs. He played a pivotal role in launching and shaping the MBA in Management, Global Leadership, Healthcare Leadership, and the innovative MBA Pathway for Veterans, efforts that significantly broadened the university’s reach and strengthened its reputation for practitioner- focused management education.

Sylwia E. Starnawska is a Professor at SUNY Empire State University and the coordinator of the Global Finance and Investment graduate certificate program. She brings extensive leadership experience from the financial services sector, with a background in managing multinational financial institutions and working across international corporate finance, global capital markets, and cross‑border investment strategy.

Betul Lus is a Professor at SUNY Empire State University with more than 20 years of combined academic and applied professional experience in operations management, operations research, global supply chain management, and quantitative decision‑making. In addition to her scholarly work, she brings practical expertise in the design, analysis, and optimization of complex operational and supply chain systems. Her applied work has involved development and collaborative projects focused on process improvement, data‑driven decision support, capacity and flexibility planning, and the integration of analytics into business operations across a range of industries.
