What can I say? Quite simply, this is the book that I wish had been available to me two decades ago. It is brilliant. Practical, instantly accessible and (as you would expect given the authors) infused with real-world experience. Whether you are a secondary school student interested in pursuing law at university, or a criminal barrister in the early years of practice, the lessons in these chapters are invaluable. It has even caused me to reflect on some of my own ingrained (bad) habits. Life as an advocate is (or should be) a continuous search for self-improvement. This book will be an indispensable companion in that endeavour.
