Biography
Surya P. Subedi QC is Professor of International Law at the University of Leeds, UK, and a Barrister at Three Stone Chambers, Lincoln’s Inn, London. He has served as the UN special rapporteur for human rights in Cambodia, as an adviser on human rights to the British foreign secretary, and as legal procedural adviser to the World Conservation Congress of the International Union for Conservation of Nature. He holds a DPhil and a DCL from the University of Oxford. He was elected to the Institut de Droit International in 2011. He has acted as a counsel in several cases before the International Court of Justice.
