It may be the first largest dataset in history for this subject, a unique book for those who have even a little thirst for Muslim history or populations.”

Muslims are the fastest-growing major religious group in the world. In this thorough volume, Houssain Kettani assembles country-by-country estimates and descriptions of how Muslim populations have changed in size as well as linear extrapolations of future growth. This is a valuable resource I am glad to have on my shelf.”

We are all curious about the evolution of the Muslim population in the world, and Dr Houssain Kettani seems to have undertaken an enormous task to make a thorough and reliable estimate. This is undoubtedly the most satisfactory and thought-through of the recent books on the subject that I have seen.”
