Biography

Joseph E. Fleckenstein graduated from Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA with a BS in mechanical engineering and a minor in electrical engineering. Post-graduation, he completed more than 47 courses in a variety of subjects, including graduate level courses at the University of Wisconsin, Madison, USA and Pennsylvania State University, State College, USA. He has been a registered professional engineer for more than 30 years and, throughout this period, has been involved in a variety of roles with manufacturers and engineering firms. Over the years, he has authored a number of technical papers, specifications, system descriptions, and prepared online courses for registered professional engineers. A senior member of IEEE, a member of Eta Kappa Nu and a life member of ISA, he is well experienced in electrical power generation, transmission, circuit protection, and controls.
